Ungasan sits on the Bukit peninsula in the south of the island, on the plateau above the cliffs. Melasti, Green Bowl and Pandawa beaches are around ten minutes away by scooter, Uluwatu temple and its sunset kecak performance about twenty, and the warungs, cafés and beach clubs of the Bukit are spread along the main roads nearby. Ngurah Rai airport is roughly 30 minutes by car. Getting around Ungasan really does call for a scooter or a car — and note the villa sits close to a road, so daytime scooter noise is audible.
