Because Villa The Wave and Leonardo are our only two villas at this scale, and large villas generally in Bali are fewer in number than smaller ones, booking further ahead matters more here than for a compact villa. For a group trip planned around a specific occasion — a milestone birthday, a reunion, a wedding-adjacent gathering — start the conversation as soon as dates are roughly set, even if final guest numbers aren’t confirmed. Coordinating arrivals and departures

With 12 to 18 guests, arrivals rarely happen all at once. Plan for a staggered check-in, and confirm with us how early arrivals can be accommodated if some of the group lands well before standard 3:00 pm check-in, and similarly for late departures. We can usually store luggage or arrange early access to common areas even if bedrooms aren’t fully ready, but this works best when we know your group’s actual flight spread in advance rather than finding out on the day.

What a large group trip actually costs beyond the villa

Beyond the villa rate itself, a large group should budget for shared costs like group meals, transport for the full group (multiple cars or a larger vehicle), and any shared activities. Splitting these costs fairly across a big group works best with one person coordinating a shared expense list rather than everyone paying individually for different things, which tends to create confusion by the end of the trip. When two smaller villas beat one large one

Occasionally a group is better served by two smaller villas near each other rather than one large villa, particularly if the group naturally splits into distinct sub-groups (two families who mostly want their own space, for instance) or if a single large villa in the right size and location isn’t available for the dates needed.
