Sanur, Bali, Indonesia
Sanur sits on the calm east coast of Bali: a long beachfront promenade, reef-protected water with almost no surf, and a pace noticeably slower than the west of the island. Cafés, warungs, yoga studios and massage places line Jalan Danau Tamblingan; the Sindhu morning market and the fast-boat harbour for Nusa Penida and the Gili islands are a few minutes away by scooter, and Ngurah Rai airport is roughly 30 minutes by car.
Sanur is the calm, residential side of Bali — the east coast, reef-protected water, and an eight-kilometre beachfront promenade that is flat, shaded and closed to cars. It is the area long-stay guests and families keep coming back to.
Sanur suits people who want to walk and cycle, families with small children — the water is shallow and calm — and anyone staying long enough to care about supermarkets, clinics and a short airport run. It is not the place for surf or nightlife.

We absolutely LOVED the whole villa and stunning pool. It’s a quiet and beautiful neighborhood and right near some fabulous restaurants and beaches. We will definitely stay here agin if we come back to Sanur and are very grateful to the staff.
